                        Eliminate transition point concerns with CommScope’s indoor/outdoor plenum copper cable

                        CommScope’s new indoor/outdoor copper cables include Categories 6A and 6 plenum options, which eliminates traditional transition points from outdoor cable to safety listed indoor cables. Local building codes typically require outside plant cables to transition to indoor safety listed cables within 50 feet of entry into a building. The indoor/outdoor plenum cables by CommScope solve this issue, resulting in:

                        • Greater design freedoms by not having to locate and create a transition point
                        • Cost savings in reduced labor and materials
                        • Only 1 cable to buy or inventory to serve these applications

                        Typical applications are in slab or below grade conduits, which in most cases are considered wet locations—not acceptable for traditional indoor cables that are not designed to withstand moisture. This new design performs in both environments, protecting your network infrastructure integrity for peak performance, while significantly saving costs and time of installations.

                        Ultra-wideband tappers for DAS network testing

                        CommScope ultra-wideband tappers support a frequency range from 340 to 6000 MHz. Tappers are cost-effective signal samplers typically used for testing in DAS networks. They operate similarly to directional couplers but have larger bandwidths, capacitive coupling and lower isolation than a directional coupler. The new ultra-wideband models support frequency bands being deployed for private LTE, CBRS and sub-6 GHz 5G. A range of models is available to support needed signal strengths and connector types.

                        New Node Service Cable Assemblies

                        CommScope has expanded the fiber drop cable assembly portfolio to include node service assemblies. These products are designed to provide fast installation of an optical node via splicing in a closure and transitioning into a node. Configurable options include: 6- and 12-fiber counts, standard dielectric and armored cable, connector variations between SC and LC, and different breakout lengths. A limited release of configurations is presently offered (see link below) and additional variants will be released in the near future.
